We had the pleasure of inviting Dean O’Callaghan – Chief Customs Officer, New Zealand Customs – to speak at our national Depot Managers Operations Meeting in Hamilton yesterday.
Dean shared with us the ongoing battle with organised crime attempting to infiltrate New Zealand’s borders with illicit and increasingly dangerous substances, that do massive harm across the motu.
As a key handler of shipping containers, Dean shared with our depot leaders the role they play in joining the fight to keep our borders, communities, and our own people safe every day.
ContainerCo is proud to work very closely and collaboratively with all industry stakeholders, from our shipping line partners, right through to Customs / MPI. Together we are working hard to optimise and protect New Zealand’s supply chain.
