A quiet revolution continues at ContainerCo
We’re proud to welcome our first electric Kalmar Empty Container Handler to the ContainerCo fleet – a significant milestone in our journey towards a lower-carbon, more sustainable NZ supply chain.
More than just a new piece of equipment, this investment reflects our commitment to doing things differently. Through fleet electrification, renewable energy initiatives, rail connectivity and ongoing operational innovation, we’re continually looking for smarter, cleaner ways to serve our customers and support the decarbonisation of New Zealand logistics.
The new Kalmar handler will play a key role at our BOP depots and will operate with zero emissions at source, helping reduce environmental impact while delivering the safety, reliability and performance our customers expect.
As one of the largest investments in our sustainability programme to date, this arrival represents another tangible step forward as we continue to reduce our environmental footprint while supporting our customers’ own sustainability goals.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in bringing this project to life. We are particularly grateful to EECA (Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority) for its partnership and support in helping make this investment possible.
Kalmar Oceania has delivered and commissioned to us a machine that we are expect to see making a significant measurable difference to our operational emissions.
We’re excited to see what this technology can help us achieve as we continue building a more sustainable future for our industry.
